About Us
Marble Psychological Services is a small, values-driven mental health practice providing high-quality, culturally sensitive care. We work with children, adolescents, and adults, and partner closely with schools, families, and organisations to support emotional wellbeing and resilience.
We are seeking a therapist who is interested in bringing their skills to an international setting and joining our Yangon-based team from January 2026.
Why This Role Matters
- Start date: January 2026
- Compensation: Competitive package, commensurate with experience
- Location: Yangon, Myanmar – an opportunity to work internationally, build your profile, and contribute to meaningful, community-focused work
This role is ideal for someone who is looking for both professional growth and the chance to make a tangible difference.

- Provide individual and group therapy to children and adolescents (approximately ages 5–18)
- Support clients and families with emotional, social, academic, or transition-related challenges
- Respond competently in crisis situations and collaborate with schools, parents, and other professionals
- Contribute to a trauma-informed, culturally-aware practice in a context with more limited resources
- Work independently on-site, with strong regional support and regular supervision
What You Bring
Required:
- Master's degree in Counselling, Clinical/Child Psychology, Social Work or a closely related field
- Experience working with children and adolescents (internship, placement, volunteer, or paid)
- Excellent spoken and written English

- Counselling certification/licensure
Preferred (not essential):
- Experience in international or school-based settings
- Training in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention
Personal qualities we value:
- Resilient, resourceful, and comfortable with some ambiguity

- Warm, collaborative, and genuinely enthusiastic about meaningful, impact-focused work
What We Provide
- Generous leave and a professional development budget
- Regular clinical supervision and access to online trainings
- Relocation support (including visa processing)
- Career support such as references, portfolio documentation, and networking opportunities in the region
Working in Myanmar
Myanmar offers a unique and sometimes challenging context. Political instability and infrastructure limitations mean that flexibility, creativity, and resilience are important. For the right person, this also means rich learning, deep relationships, and the chance to contribute in a setting where mental health services are still growing.
Timeline
- Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an initial interview and follow-up conversations
